Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana

  • Since 2019, Salangai Arts students have been participating in several dance productions in the prestigious Cleveland Aradhana festival.
2025
  • Aindhodhum Anandam: Along with two other dance schools, Salangai Arts performed compositions of Kalaimamani R Suryaprakash including a padam and a thillana.

  • Seezhgazhi Moovar: Predating Tyagaraja, the tamil trinity poets Muthuthandavar, Marimutha Pillai, and Arunachala. Kavirayar have composed many unique and traditional compositions. Guru Smt. Akila Subramanyam researced and choreographed these compositions for an hour long production performed solely by Salangai Arts students.

  • Dvayam: Neha Asuri, a many time Cleveland Aradhana competition winner, was selected to participate in a production choreographed by Aishwarya Balasubramanyam, using compositions of Bharath Sundar under the theme of "yearning and joy".

Maalum Maruganum: Along with two other dance schools, Salangai Arts performed a varnam composed by Kalaimamani R Suryaprakash. This production had elements of both Shiva and Vishnu. Kapaleeshwara Pancharathnam: Salangai Arts students participated in Papanasam Ashok Ramani's production, dancing a composition of smt. Rukmini Ramani under the theme of the Kapaleeshwara temple deity.

Maha Periyava Pancharatnam and More: Students of Salangai Arts participated in Papanasam Ashok Ramani's productions in Cleveland for several years, dancing to compositions of Smt. Rukmini Ramani.

Students of Salangai Arts participated in a musical theater play depicting the life story of the renowned Indian national poet, patriot, and freedom fighter Subramanya Bharathi. Dances were choreographed by Akila Subramanyam.

World Culture Festival

Salangai Arts students participated in the Art of Living Foundation's World Cultural Festival, which brought together thousands of performers from diverse cultures on one stage to showcase our humanity and rich cultural diversity.

Neha Asuri participated in the Indian Dance Educator's Association's production "Jhankaar" alongside other dancers, dance teachers, and professionals at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
